Our man Nigel Matthews (well, he isn’t exactly ours, just a good friend and contributor, but I like to make it sound as if I actually have a staff) has recently been testing some new “Lotus” and “Bentley” cars in exotic places. (What do you mean, Las Vegas isn’t exotic?) Nigel is normally involved in the classic car community as a concours judge and value estimator, however he does get the opportunity to test drive some very fast and beautiful cars, most recently the Audi A10, Bugatti Veyron, and the new Bentley Continental Speed GT. That’s him, a guest of Lotus UK, thrashing around the Parumph private track outside Las Vegas in a new Lotus 2-Eleven. His hosts put Nigel up in the “Bentley”, upgrading him, appropriately, to the LeMans Suite. The Bentley, by the way, delivers 602 horsepower and if I owned one, I wouldn’t be staying in the Paris Hotel. I’d be staying in a hotel in Paris, en route to the Riviera.

“You go to a studio and say: ”I”ve got this movie about old guys dying of cancer. Give me $45 million,” they”re not going to do it so fast,” Rob Reiner tells David M Halbfinger in the New York Times.
“This terminally ill, terminally awful dramedy marks a sad cinematic milestone: The Bucket List is the first film in history to feature a truly wretched [Jack] Nicholson performance - and we”re not talking about the character he plays,” sighs Aaron Hillis in Premiere.
“Not since Patch Adams has a film more insistently aimed to convey a life-affirming sentiment and instead ended up advocating euthanasia,” writes Eric Henderson in Slant.

There is a lot more to fitting out your new home theater than selecting the right screen. What about all the other furniture you need to make the theater work best for you and your family?
Selecting a seat with cup holders, plenty of cushioning and seats that lend themselves to being used in a stadium styled floor arrangement.
You also need to consider storage issues, such as storage of the various remote control devices to be used, and storage of additional cushions people might want to use, and oh, if you feel a little cool you might also want to have a mini-blanket available, like those found in a airplane.
There is a lot more to fitting out a home theater and you might want some advice from a home decorator to get some tips on making your theater a magic place to be.
